Thallium Removal Agent FTC-2086

Product Specs

The product is a kind of nano-scale high-molecular-weight chelating agent. By utilizing techniques such as open-chain adsorption, chelation and precipitation, it can quickly form insoluble precipitates to remove thallium ions from water. In special cases, when combined with our company's thallium-removing activator FTC-017, thallium can be removed to ≤0.2 μg/L.

Dosage: 0.2-2% of wastewater volume, reaction time: 5-15 minutes.

1.Safety and environmental protection: there is no significant contact and inhalation toxicity, and it is not easy to release toxic and harmful gases under normal process conditions

2.Small dosage: 0.2% ~ 1.0% according to the thallium content of the pre-solution

3.High thallium removal rate and good depth removal effect.

4.Small amount of slag: slag production < 2kg/m3

5.Low principal component loss: Compared with the principal component (nickel, zinc, cobalt and other metals) in the pre-thallium and post-thallium solutions, the loss is 0.1% ~ 0.5%

6.Simple process: the applicable pH and temperature range is wide, usually do not need to change the process conditions, directly add FTC-2086 thallium removal agent, press filtration after the reaction of 30min ~ 60min.

Customer Case

Battery-grade nickel sulfate solution from a nickel salt company in Northwest China.

The battery-grade nickel sulfate solution has a thallium content of around 6mg/L, a pH of 4.9, and a nickel content of about 100g/L. The requirement is to reduce the thallium content in the nickel sulfate solution to below 1mg/L.After using a thallium removal agent with a dosage of 1.5‰ (adding 1.5kg of thallium removal agent per cubic meter of nickel sulfate solution), the thallium content decreased to 0.05mg/L, and the pH increased to 5.7. The amount of nickel sulfate solution processed per day can reach over 600 cubic meters, with a nickel loss of less than 0.2%.
