The defluorination agent produced by FORTUNE Environmental Protection is a high-molecular-weight reagent that can effectively remove fluoride ions from zinc sulfate solution. It is a white solid and has good regeneration ability during use, allowing for multiple cycles of use.


Fluoride removal process: The fluoride-containing solution before the fluoride removal has a fluoride content of 150-700mg/L and a pH value of 4-5. The dosage of fluoride removal agent is 10-30 times the fluoride content. The reaction temperature is 55-65°C. After the reaction, the filtrate is filtered and sent for testing.
On-site use of fluoride removal agent: According to the specific process flow of the customer, the fluoride removal tank may be located in different places, usually in the purification section or before purification. The fluoride content of the solution before testing is checked, and the pH value is adjusted if necessary. The appropriate amount of fluoride removal agent is weighed and added to the fluoride removal tank. After the fluoride removal reaction is completed, the hot filtrate is filtered and washed with a filter press, and the filtrate enters the next process, while the fluoride removal residue is stored in a pile.

Customer Case

A zinc smelting plant in Northeast China has a pre-treatment solution with a pH of around 5.0 and a fluoride concentration of 150mg/L to 200mg/L at a temperature of 50-70℃, which needs to be de-fluorinated to below 50mg/L. The pre-treatment solution has characteristics such as high salt content, high heavy metal content, strong buffering capacity, and difficult treatment. The purification process uses the latest developed activator and de-fluorination agent in combination by our company.
The purification process is as follows: Zinc smelting pre-treatment solution → add 0.05% activator and react for 10 minutes → add de-fluorination agent with a fluoride content of 15-20 times → stir and react for 60 minutes → settle and filter → post-de-fluorination solution.

The results show that the de-fluorination agent with the activator has significantly improved de-fluorination effect compared to not adding an activator, reducing the total amount of de-fluorination agent by 17%, and reducing the total cost of de-fluorination by about 15%.
